“Helping people help people.” It is hard to imagine a more fitting description for Trusted World, which stands as a beacon of hope and compassion in its community. Based in Garland, Texas, and founded in 2014 by Michael Garrett, Trusted World was born out of a desire to address the critical needs of vulnerable populations, including those affected by natural disasters, homelessness, poverty, and other crises. The goal has always been to create an efficient and effective donation fulfillment process to ensure individuals facing situational poverty receive necessary resources in a timely manner, while tapping into a naturally built distribution system. This system is made up of first responders, social workers, school counselors and crime victim advocates. Trusted World is the foundation for all needed items while allowing the workers within this system the ability to focus on their core mission. 

With a mission rooted in service and a commitment to making a positive impact, Trusted World has become a reliable ally for those in need by providing essential support and resources to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. It has had a profound impact on the Dallas-Fort Worth region it serves, and the unwavering dedication that defines Trusted World exemplifies its invaluable role in uplifting lives and fostering a stronger, more resilient community. 

Trusted World strives to provide the best resources, at no cost, to organizations and individuals working on someone else's behalf. Instead of working directly with the public, Trusted World leverages a network of over 800 partners that fall into one of these three major branches: 

• Schools – meeting the needs of not just students, but the whole family. 

• Police Departments – the most common request for assistance comes from the advocate service for crime victims. Trusted World can provide essential resources to stabilize a family with critical supplies (clothing, food, personal care items), allowing the advocate to focus on the proper counsel and support. 

• Nonprofit Organizations – facilitating necessities such as a clothing closet or food pantry, allowing the nonprofit to focus resources on their core functions. 

Atmos Energy’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities initiative focuses on three primary areas: students, community heroes and our most vulnerable neighbors. Trusted World is a unique organization that aligns itself with all three categories, making it a perfect partner for Atmos Energy. Since August 2020, Atmos Energy employees have volunteered by sorting clothes, food, and toiletries at Trusted World’s distribution center along with backpacks and water bottles for local students. Financially, Atmos Energy has contributed $110,000 to this impactful organization.
