Our unique culture has been the foundation of our success for nearly a quarter century, and AtmoSpirit was a significant factor in Atmos Energy being named to the list of “America’s Best Employers by State.” Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to compile its fourth annual list by surveying 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. The surveys were conducted anonymously which allowed participants to freely share their opinions, and Atmos Energy placed 47th in the state of Texas after all the responses were tallied. Earlier this year, Atmos Energy also ranked 18th on Forbes’ list of “America’s Best Midsize Employers.”

“America’s Best Employers by State” was designed to capture the differences in how companies act and are perceived in various parts of the country. Respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation and opportunities for advancement, among others. Statista also asked respondents for the likelihood that they would recommend their employer to others and to nominate organizations in industries outside their own.
