Through The Atmos Energy/Robert W. Best Charitable Giving Fund, a donor-advised fund administered by Vanguard Charitable, $50,000 is being distributed to the Rowlett Citizens Corporation Council, $50,000 to the Communities Foundation of Texas Inc. for relief efforts in Garland and $15,000 to the American Red Cross – Dallas Area Chapter to support the provision of food, shelter and relief for families throughout Glenn Heights, Ovilla, Midlothian and Red Oak.

“We remain committed to supporting our customers who were impacted by these tornadoes,” said John Paris, president of Atmos Energy’s Mid-Tex division. “We also are very thankful for our employees who immediately assisted in the early hours after the storm. Our Atmos Energy crews worked closely with first responders to safely shut-off natural gas service to the homes and businesses damaged by the tornadoes. Thanks to all of them for the support they give to our community every day, especially in times of need.”
