Atmos Energy donated $50,000 to the Dallas Education Foundation to support six high-need DISD schools (including Charles Rice Learning Center, pictured) for iStations, a game-like, supplemental learning system that covers reading (Spanish and English), writing, and math. The content in Istation is individualized for each student and allows teacher tracking of each student’s understanding and progress.

In 2013, Carol and Bill Greer aspired to offer educational and training opportunities to individuals with special needs during high school and after they graduate. So the Greers founded Top Crops, a continuing education program on the campus of Western Kentucky University that teaches individuals with intellectual disabilities how to become gardeners and sellers of healthy foods for the Bowling Green community.
