 Atmos Energy to offer $95,000 in bill assistance to Dallas customers

DALLAS (Feb. 13, 2019) Atmos Energy will provide $95,000 in natural gas bill assistance to eligible Dallas customers through its “Sharing the Warmth” program at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Atmos Energy recently stepped in to manage this town of 462 people approximately 90 miles east of Jackson. The Mississippi Public Service Commission and officials in Shuqualak (pronounced sugar lock) realized the community could no longer meet new safety requirements for natural gas systems and turned to Atmos Energy for help.

Officials with the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and Atmos Energy signaled the construction of the pipeline Friday morning.
