"Keeping the Warmth" Program - Mid-Tex Division
Atmos Energy Mid-Tex has instituted a conservation and energy efficiency program, known as Keeping the Warmth, which provides assistance to
qualified Atmos Energy residential customers to reduce energy consumption and lower energy utility bills.
 Keeping the Warmth is implemented through our Energy Assistance Agencies and provides free energy savings materials and
supplies to qualifying customers of Atmos Energy's Mid-Tex Division. Qualified Customers may receive up to two hundred dollars
($200.00) worth of caulking, weather-stripping, sealing, insulation and like materials. Additional items may be added as the program develops.
Atmos Energy also plans to enlist support from community groups, the Authorized Dealer Network,
and its own Employee Action Program, to assist customers with installation. If it is determined that professional installation
capabilities are necessary, an appropriate amount of funds will be provided for the labor.
Eligibility
Current Atmos Energy Customers who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the Atmos Energy Mid-Tex Keeping the Warmth Program:
- Low Income - Low-income customers can request assistance thru all agencies that distribute funds for the Atmos Energy "Share the Warmth"
Program. These agencies will qualify customers to ensure they are eligible to receive assistance. Agencies that allocate assistance funds
denote a customer as "Low Income", a status that lasts for one year.
- Senior Citizen - The primary account holder can request eligibility through all agencies that distribute funds for the Atmos Energy
"Sharing the Warmth" Program. These agencies will qualify senior citizens primarily using their Social Security number, which is verified
through the Social Security Administration. Any Atmos Energy customer that is or turns 65 years old in that year becomes eligible.
Energy Savings Kit
Each Atmos Energy Savings Kit will contain:
- One 1.5 gpm Earth Showerhead
- Two 1.0 gpm Bathroom Aerators
- One 1.5 gpm Kitchen Swivel Aerator
- Two 17-inch Roll Foam Weather-strips
- Two 42"x62" Shrink Fit Window Film
- One 4 Switch/8 Outlet Gasket Draft-Stoppers
- One Wall-plate Digital Thermometer
- One Energy Conservation Wheel with Atmos Energy Logo (label supplied by Atmos Energy)
- One bilingual instruction sheet
- One roll of Teflon tape
- Deluxe caulking gun
- 40-year clear siliconized caulk sealant - paintable
In addition to the Atmos Energy Savings Kit, the following items are also available to qualified customers:
- Gas Heating/Tune-up *
- Programmable Thermostat *
* Provided separately by Atmos Energy through participating agencies.
