Fred Meisenheimer joined Atmos Energy in July 2000 as Vice President and Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2009. Before joining Atmos Energy, Meisenheimer was Controller of Vartec Telecom, Inc., a privately held telecom services provider, and was responsible for all accounting and treasury operations. Previously, he served as Assistant Controller and General Auditor of Oryx Energy Corporation from 1988 to 1999 and as Assistant Controller for Sun Exploration and Production Company from 1979 to 1988. Meisenheimer also worked as an Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP from 1970 to 1979.

Meisenheimer is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and holds an M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University.
