Susan Giles was named vice president, investor relations, in October 2005. Previously, she had served as vice president, investor relations and corporate communications, since June 2002. She joined Atmos Energy in January 2002 as director, accounting services, and managed general accounting, plant accounting, accounts payable and payroll functions as well as nonregulated accounting.

Before coming to Atmos Energy, Giles was responsible for financial reporting at Pioneer Natural Resources Company. She also had worked as team leader for business reporting at Nokia, Inc.; a senior professional accountant for Kerr-McGee Corporation, Oryx Energy and Sun Energy Partners; accounting manager for Dwight's Energydata, Inc.; and a public accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Giles has a master's degree in business administration with a finance concentration from the University of Dallas and a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Missouri. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
